Dill is a weed and it’s also delicious and often used in many dishes. Being a weed has nothing to do with taste/usefulness Racism. Legitimately it was a way to control how land was used by people of colour by creating rules for how to maintain land under the Wizard homeland security has confiscated my potions shirt Apart from…,I will love this guise of health code violation. Many people of colour relied on growing food. To restrict that was another form of control. & Turns out that most of those man-made man-watered mowed chemically__( weed killers etc) lawns are bad for the Earth As soon as big pharma realised you can make pharmaceuticals from oil into pills, every single herbal remedy was labeled as “alternative medicine” and was removed from all curriculum. I want a green lawn that I can run bare on. Not one with a lot of dandelions. Then they turn into the Wizard homeland security has confiscated my potions shirt Apart from…,I will love this fluffy white seed, which is ugly. I mean, you can. Go for it. Toughen up your skin, build up some calluses, step on some poop, splinters and thorns. Maybe a snake. They most certainly do not. They have long, straight taproots that go deep for nutrients and don’t spread out much at all. On top of being undesirable on a stereotypical suburban green lawn by everyone who isn’t a Scandinavian immigrant, dandelions have a few characteristics that make them more of a weed than most. They’re not native to the US, they were brought over because they’re edible and now many people don’t eat them. You can find them sometimes at small, niche, grocery stores but they’re uncommon. They spread really quickly because they rapidly produce a lot of seeds. And they have the ultimate Rick roll of a root system. They shoot a giant tap root down and if you don’t take the time to thoroughly dig it up they just regrow from whatever is left behind. And their root is a lot stronger than the plant so if you try to just pull a dandelion up without digging it out, it breaks off from the root and leaves it behind.
