Not only that, but they are trying to make US, customer, judge each other and create a culture of shame… “Oh, you didn’t tip?!” “Look that couple didn’t leave a tip!” It’s Bullshit. Companies getting away with not paying a decent wage and making the We All Need Love to Grow Sunflower And Heart Pride T-Shirt In addition,I will do this customer feel bad for not tipping. On a more American sub, I saw Americans defending the tipping culture and one said “this is why I refuse to give good service to Europeans. If I hear your accent, you’ll get your food last because you guys tip like shit” I got a pint in stanstead airport and the pint was 8 pound, in a plastic cut and then the machine asked me to tip another pound after. Not without knowing what % goes to the company supplying the machines, the bank, the company I’m buying from and (finally) my server. Given that it doesn’t say 100% goes to my server, I’ll continue to secretly slip him/her a few fivers when I feel the service deserves it. I refuse to tip unless I have received exceptional service. Paying extra just to have someone correctly bring your order to you is not exceptional service. My pet hate is “please tip your driver”. Why, you’re the one asking me to pay £3 for delivery. If it isn’t to pay the driver what the hell is it for?

Lived in the We All Need Love to Grow Sunflower And Heart Pride T-Shirt In addition,I will do this US a decade now. The equivalent normalisation here is the “default” amount being 30 percent vs 18 or 20 percent when I first moved here. Last thing we need is that creeping into the UK. Also, don’t you just love the way a business advertises how shit it pays and treats its staff by putting a note on the door: I mean your obviously in a pub, yeah not everyone tips, but some people offer a drink instead, this isn’t in your face on the eft card machine, which is more annoying, so if you want to tip staff it’s there, what’s the problem? I’m paying for a service which the company should use to pay their staff with. I’m not paying extra for being provided the exact thing I’m expecting. Fuck off
