Because they have access to ask thousands of people a day to donate. If everyone gives 10 cents. That’s a lot of money. Everyday. You people are legitimately dumb. Sounds like a scam I don’t think charity is a bad thing, but when I worked at Walmart years ago they were constantly doing things to get employees to donate to Children’s Miracle Network. It’s off putting to me that they were constantly doing events to get employees to raise money, when so many Walmart employees are on assistance themselves. There were people at my store who got their lunches stolen, and would cry about it because they had no money for food. It also annoys me how this subject always brings about sanctimonious comments. Some of us are paycheck to paycheck and want to worry about our own families first, if they can’t or don’t want to donate that’s their right. People can get snippy about this all that want, but I agree with the overall message. There’s multiple studies done on how the poor are actually more charitable than any other group.

They want money from you so they can use it to donate to charity to get publicity and make themselves look good, but only with your money. Didn’t you hear??Raytheon, BAE, and Lockheed are going to pay for war veterans housing, medical expenses, and career advancement. Good on them with their Trillions in war cash. Just remember, when a cashier asks you, don’t be a jerk. Just say no, or no thank you, or not today, or sorry fam, broke. They don’t want to be asking you as much as you don’t want to be asked.
