Thinking, like contemplating something. A lot of commenters on the Try That In A Small Town Around Here We Take Care Of Our Own American Flag shirt Furthermore, I will do this thread don’t visualize at all when they think. I hear a voice in my head. This becomes very evident when I’m reading a novel for instance, where I put voices to the characters I’m reading when they talk. Apparently this also applies to shapes where I see an apple in my brain whereas others just see the word apple. Yes have the regular one but there is another one that is in the back of my brain that cautions me when situations are about to happen but before. As someone who has a very active internal monologue, I have found great peace it silencing it from time to time. For anyone out there who suffers from a lot of anxiety and intrusive thoughts , please do try to silence your internal monologue. Try for 10 mins, then 20 mins, maybe even an hour. See what happens to your anxiety. It really helped me a lot and not I only really allow my internal monologue during certain situations. My happiness has increased a lot because of this. It’s very hard to stop negative thoughts when you are conversing with yourself inside your head, maybe even impossible sometimes. Just turn it off for while. I do. I also make up worlds in my head to keep my brain distracted from my anxiety. And to help me fall asleep.
