FYI, there are Experiments with stabilized PU in Energy producing Reactors. Fukushima 3 had some in use in 2011… PU works well as a reactor fuel, we deliberately don’t use it because we don’t want proliferation of nuclear weapons. This has lead to policies that wastefully use fuel, and generate more and longer lived waste, as well as more expensive nuclear power to deliberately make it less attractive and therefore less commonly availible. Iirc PU has some nasty phase Instabilities which led to using mildly enriched U235 for commercial Reactors for simplicities Sake. But the The Walker House Welcome Home Cat T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this non-proliferation Aspect i totally understand and Support. Well, you get a good bit of power in commercial LEU reactors from plutonium, especially at the end of core life, but it’s there pretty much all the time since fuel is twice and thrice burned.

The breeding of plutonium is not an insignificant part of the The Walker House Welcome Home Cat T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this output due to the high amount of U-238 in commercial fuel. Its like even if we take 1% of the weapons budget we will have a few billion to use on more important things. And you can do a lot with a few billion After listening to Carl Sagan+watching the rapid global environmental changes that have occurred within my lifetime alone…I think the 21st century is probably going to end this globalized mess of world government/economy, something new will arise from the ashes of the old war, but we’re in for a rough ride. It’s funny though, we got a monetary system that can be used to incentive good things, we could pay millions of laborers to help clean up the planet/disincentive environmentally damaging human activity/prepare humanity for the worst effects of climate change…and yet the money often goes towards the worst.
