The following morning, I had a massive purple bruise along the Soul Food Poster 1997 shirt Also,I will get this outside of my quad and don’t remember anything hitting me. I always thought this was a false memory but I recently found out it actually happened and plenty of other people remember it! I was a little girl driving past St Marks in Worsley, and there was a woman astride an elephant coming out of the church with bridesmaids in tow and everything. as I grew up I was like nah that’s mad, you’d seen Aladdin recently so your kid imagination probably filled in the gaps. brought it up with several people on separate occasions since, and almost everyone has said they remember it! My family know it’s true because they witnessed this and nicknamed me for it, but when I was a kid at Disneyland Paris I got sick and threw up everywhere exorcist style. I am now nicknamed Spooky. The part they don’t believe though is that I had already thrown up a little bit when I sat up in bed, and saw someone (I think a maid) come into the room and start clearing up. Looking back she was probably trying to steal as it was the middle of the night, but no one believes me, she very quickly left as I basically looked at her and vomited everywhere. Which caused everyone else to wake up. I think I was about the three and was in the garden one night with the baby sitter and her husband and saw a fox look over the ridge of the house roof. I’m sure they saw it too and I think they even commented at the time but nobody’s mentioned it since. Also used to see a woman in a blue dressing gown on the landing there. Turns out to have been my great grandmother who died in 1930 – she was the spit of the woman in a photo my mum showed me once. I don’t know if anyone believes me about that but I’m pretty sure that no member of my family cares whether I saw this or not.

A colleague of mine swears that the house she grew up in was similarly haunted. She and her mum had both gone down to the kitchen in the early hours to see an elderly lady sat having tea at the table. It was always the same scene. In the end they just agreed not to go down there in the wee hours. My granny once saw the apparition of a soldier in uniform lying on the sofa at a friend’s house. I’ve seen things too at the house I grew up in. Spooky! OMG. That’s proper eerie! Do you reckon the elderly lady still sits there? I’d set up cameras and all sorts to see if I could get a picture but there’d be a soiling incident if I did.
