Like Taco Bell, pizza places, they all made Mexican, Italian and other types of food more appealing to American palettes, of course they’ll be super popular over authentic offerings, but because of those places, many tend to try out the Sorry Santa Naughty Just Feels Nice Dragon Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this legit ones lager lol I don’t know. For me, personally, if I’m trying another culture’s food then I want the legit thing. I don’t want something watered down. It’s almost condescending. I feel like you’d hate America then. Most of our dishes we call American are dishes from other regions of the world but altered to match the preferences of the society they’re in. It’s kind of a cultural thing here and honestly, most of the time it is just garbage. I saw someone try using taco meat for sushi… what in the actual fuck was that?? Sometimes it’s pretty good like texmex and creole/cajun food, but then there’s the stuff that is just so pretentious like that Mexican sushi. You don’t want to introduce something that is complicated to people who have never tried foreign food. Pho is the gateway to more complex tastes. It’s like in school, you start them out easy then slowly move up. For Mexican food, Americans would go with boring and plain-tasting proteins such as chicken, pork, and beef. Once a person is into the cuisine, they’ll expand their taste buds by trying out tongue beef and beef head tacos.
