Now I don’t know why but my math somehow comes to a slightly different conclusion, 1.8 billion in dividend and currently that 4 billion stock is 9 billion worth. So totally the Sagirius Girl Knows More Than She Says More Than Realize T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this value increase is 6.7 billion. Still mindblowing much nonetheless. I really doubt at that level those guys pay brutal tax bills. I’m pretty sure if slobs like us can be discussing the possibility, Lucas’ or Disney’s genius lawyers were way ahead of the tax penalties and took steps to alleviate it during the transaction. I’m willing to bet Lucas paid a nominal tax if any. So you’re either just paying the $40k out of pocket or you’re selling $40k worth of your $100k in stocks to cover your taxes He was already making a ton of money from Star Wars before Disney bought it. It’s not like he was suddenly getting all that money while otherwise living pay cheque to pay cheque and then having to deal with those taxes.

I’m pretty sure his tax bill would’ve been the Sagirius Girl Knows More Than She Says More Than Realize T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same regardless because if he didn’t get it in stock he would’ve gotten it in cash regardless Pretty sure George didn’t pay income tax on his. I don’t think it Claudia at income since he sold an asset. He’ll pay capital gains only.It was a stock swap. I gave a one sentence gist for people who don’t care enough to read about it. When not thinking about taxes or semantics it’s basically the same thing This article was written in 2021. Since then Disney’s stock price has plummeted and is half what it was, trading at just shy of $100/per share. They also stopped paying dividends. When they stopped in 2020, they never started again. Which they don’t even seem to know, so this basically is just a pointless article saying Disney stock has done well and maybe he still has some shares. That reminds me of the story where George Lucas managed to deal his way to exclusive rights for the sequels to Star Wars (Episode IV) in exchange for none of the profits from the first movie, and the studio agreed to it because they didn’t expect it to be as successful. He waved his director fee for Star Wars and instead asked for a cut of toy sales. Toy sales and hell trilogies were rare back then so they gave him what he wanted. Yeah, that’s true. As a new director, he turned down $1 million dollars in exchange for the toy rights. Most people would never gamble on themselves like that.
