There were a couple of queens who had waaaaay better showings that episode who were safe. I like her in the werkroom, but on the runway she’s so same-y. (She’s obviously not alone there, but she’s just who we’re talking about…) Something about the way she looks in that fruity look triggers negative emotions in my brain. It almost makes me angry. I think this is what Ru felt when she looked at Joe Black. I literally thought it was ketchup and mustard for a second and was like THAT ISN’T THE PROMPT LALA, and then when I realized what she was trying to do…oh girl. Even the headpiece makes it look like her head is being squeezed out yet somehow also looks baggy. It’s almost impressive. A gradient on the dress and some sparkle would have helped, and kept the concept intact. The dress was flat and one dimensional. And the worst bit is that in promo interviews, so many queens said we would see the Lala Ri runway glow up experience…Bish when some looks should just make a queen eliminated immediately no questions asked skip over the lip sync, go directly to jail, do not collect 200 ru-dollars … and that RULY FANZ runway is absolutely deserving of this treatment.

I love her confessionals but every time she’s on the Philadelphia Phillies Take October 2023 Postseason Fightin Phils Shirt and by the same token and run way, she looks surprised to be there and at this point I’m like “Girl, me too”. It’s like everyone else got the brief and she got told she had 10mins to get into quick drag. Maybe unpopular opinion but I generally really liked her S13 looks aside from the bag look. This All Stars package kinda feels like a downgrade… I feel bad for those queens since they kind of don’t have a choice. Because it’s not like Ru will keep asking them every year until they’re ready When Lala rapped “Watch my runways gag their throat”, I don’t think any of us realized it was a THREAT and not a cute little quip. You kids are too young, but I remember a time when Michelle made Adore cry and leave because she didn’t like her dress. The eternal conundrum with Lala: she’s very funny in confessionals and the werkroom, she’s very charismatic, but then you get to the runway and you’re like “…oh sweetie”. I truly don’t know what y’all expected lol love the gal but she’s just never going to give it to you on the runway Layla gave us one of the worst looks in her original season. Just like Jimbo can’t lip sync, Lala won’t be slaying the runaway. They give exactly what I expected.
