That describes ALL human DNA, though. Like, everyone on earth’s DNA is “ancient” and “special” and so on. Every kid born will be the Peanuts Snoopy football game day shirt Apart from…,I will love this product of genetics that are thousands of millenia old, and so on. I am comfortable leaving mine out of it. It helped back when I was younger and had a biological clock to remember that my genes are only as special as absolutely everyone else’s. Considering it’s highly likely that all life on earth can trace it’s origins to the same source, what makes my bloodline any more important than my pet dog? We willingly neuter our pets with no care for their bloodline, why is our own any different? I don’t personally put any stake in the concept of a bloodline. I understand it’s a biological drive, and it’s necessity for a species, but any amount of time actually thinking about it reveals it’s lack of importance from an individual perspective.

Not to mention the Peanuts Snoopy football game day shirt Apart from…,I will love this billions of 5 billion year old bloodlines that end every year, because every single person has one. pffft. I’m sorry, but why the hell should you feel any obligation to have children because previous generations liked to fuck? Feeling an obligation to previous generations is foolish. Should you feel an obligation to carry on the family business?, carry on the family name, carry on a naming convention? I have thought about this too. I never wanted to have children but I’ve always been into genealogy so I wrestled with not having descendants to remember me. But then I thought: who am I to believe that I’m so important as to need descendants? I’m just a blip, less than a grain of sand in the history of our world. The world will go on either way.
