I could care less about keeping my blood line going. We aren’t royalty my genes ain’t special. I’ve got a high aptitude for many things, and according to analysis I actually have a bunch of “rare” genes for positive traits. And each and every one of my ancestors, going back billions of years, has successfully survived to reproduce with some portion of these genes. My father had the bad stuff I have and life was hard for him sometimes but also good, and the dozens of us who descended from him, my litter of siblings and their gaggle of kids and my one great nephew so far, all seem pretty okay with being forced into existence, including my one nephew who also has the diagnosis. So I don’t feel bad about wanting to pass on a random selection of every other chromosome to someone who is pretty likely to overcome that shit to a similar degree as the rest of us have.

Rather I’m consciously choosing to end the suffering and struggle here with me and just be at peace and rejoin the universe when I die Unbroken lineage from the first organism to you.Of me and my two siblings, one is blind from a genetic disorder, one has a significant autoimmune disorder, and the third has major struggles with depression and OCD. Good lord does this bloodline need to end.
