Yes you can disengage and remove yourself. Apologize and say you’ll go get them help, remove yourself and alert management. It’s their job to ensure customers are happy when it’s out of cashier’s/floor employees hands. Now in my days in management, if I know the Omni-Man The Good Father Shirt and I love this customer is being a little bitch, imma walk them. Idgaf who they think they are, they don’t walk into my place yelling as my little ducklings like they aren’t already tired and working their asses off. I’ll have someone removed and banned, and i have had to do that. You are not obliged to engage with unruly customers, no matter what your management says. I refused to stop wearing mine after covid died down because our customer base is generally fucking disgusting. If they arent open face sneezing and coughing all over everything, theyre coming in with no deoderant on. Being able to wear a mask was a game changer. Every time i cought greif from some plague rat customer, i firmly told them im not required to take their abuse and walked wherever the hell i needed too to get away from them. The only time a manager ever had the audacity to confront me about it, i told them precisely the same thing and that if they wanted to push it we could go to ethics.

Omni-Man The Good Father Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I know a lot of immunocompromised people, especially those on the Omni-Man The Good Father Shirt and I love this portable oxygen machines, that wear a mask when they go out. They’ve done it for years, even before covid. I think the stupidest shit a custom ever tried was some lady that seriously tried to make me her personal shopper at the start of black friday. I would go to the nearest manager every time and make it their problem. Don’t get paid enough to get yelled at, you make the big bucks, take care of it boss. A manager of ours once told us, if you feel uncomfortable in a situation with a customer (the customer refuses to listen to you, is uber angry, etc), excuse yourself and walk away. Tell them you’ll have someone else help them.
