Would any of you take a to-go order and roll the dice on whether the order would literally cost you money while you were working. So yeah, you should tip the to-go order, and f#%! to-go orders in general. If you want your food to go, then go get some drive through! I don’t know if the person who wrote this knows but it’s impossible to forget when you have to search for the no tip button. My partner got an add tip line when they were buying books online. Like wtf would we tip for in that situation? Place we went last night had a 4% kitchen fee for all food orders. And it’s a brewery with all of their food like 20% higher than the local market price. It’s a nice brewery but fuck that. We won’t be going back.

Okay, am I ignorant? I’m generally a good tipper, usually a little above average. But tipping expectations are out of control. I can’t hardly go anywhere without seeing a tip jar for a service or job that gets a regular wage. If you got a surprise tip here and there, it was great but never expected. Every little place has a tip expectation now and I find if I tip, I tip less. Unfortunately, I’ve got a budget I need to follow somewhat. I simply do not tip for to go service…unless they do something above and beyond…but not just for the people to just hand the bag to me. If I could tip those that cooked it and assembled it in the containers and bags I’d happily do so. But just like in this picture it’s always asking me to tip the people at the counter. And that’d be like tipping someone at a drive-thru IMO. Maybe I’m an asshole, IDK.
