Of course, which is why the My Corgi Is Calling And I Must Go Lover Dog Vintage Sunset T-Shirt But I will love this restorative model exists in the first place. But we’re all so overworked and expected to do so many things as well as teach that it’s so difficult to implement it properly. Oh absolutely, it’s fucking nuts to expect teachers to do everything they do and also function as a de-facto psychologist for these kids. No way in hell can anyone do that, workload far, far too high. Plus by high school kids are fairly set in their ways, altering their behaviours requires a level of investment that’s just impossible for a teacher to accomplish. I was more just making the comment that it’s been like this for a long time. I went to school in the 00’s and even then punishments were a joke How about bringing back the cane? I can attest to being ‘a shit’ when I was at college but may have been less so had the punishment been a beating.

The stumbling point of caning is how to keep it from traumatising others without trivilising it as a punishment. IMO that’s not possible to accomplish. The experiences of high school aged kids vary too much to allow for it to happen. The kind of violence that’d work on me is going to traumatise a kid from a nicer environment. Today is also a much different time from when caning was last allowed. Plenty of high school kids spending a lot of hours in the My Corgi Is Calling And I Must Go Lover Dog Vintage Sunset T-Shirt But I will love this ring and in the gym. Is your average teacher going to do well caning someone much stronger than them? The risk of retaliation is very high. In a fist fight I could have taken out the vast majority of my teachers and there were way bigger, tougher guys than me there.
