My mum does own the Murray is my hero Shirt and by the same token and house outright though, and had no plans for downsizing or anything like that before we moved in. So it’s not like she’s paying more rent than she needs to or something like that. I think it’s also slightly different for us, because I moved out then moved back in, so I don’t need the learning to budget or learning the costs of life bit. We rented and managed our own lives for 5ish years before moving back with my mum. It’s a good deal, and because of that me and my partner manage to save about 60% of our income. We moved back because we were borderline homeless, and my mum was incredible and supported us 100% while the job search was on, asking only for the chores to be done (which obviously would have been done anyway!).

Murray is my hero Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

We still want to move out, of course, but thanks to my mum we have a chance to move out to buy rather than move out to rent. And I think she quite likes the Murray is my hero Shirt and by the same token and company for the time being. She loves not having to do a food shop after 40ish years! My son 25 earns £40k a year, lives with us in a 5 bedroom house, off street parking, all food, internet, all sky package, mobile bills, heating, clothes washed and ironed. I charged my older children a little less than the price of a nasty bedsit. I saved some of this money for them as I knew it would come in handy later. 2012 my mum chargded me £60 a month, paid for electric, Internet (that I was sole user) and food, I was out the house most of the time though and was on like less than £1k a month with £250 a month car insurance.
