God damn, seeing all these £150-£300s makes me jealous AF. My mum made me pay £500 rent, got own food and utilities ontop, was earning 1.3k per month in 2018. Me and my brother were charged £250 per month which included food and laundry. At the Michigan Football blake corum game face shirt Additionally,I will love this time me and my dad were the only drivers in the house so I would also do the food shopping or give mum lifts to work. I would also help with laundry and housework. We had 3 cats in the house- one being mine. My brother had a problem with this and said I should be charged more because I had a cat… his gf lived with us too yet I should pay more My parents charged me £250 which seemed a lot but this was about 7 years ago. Realistically it did help me understand about bills and gave me a good set up for when i moved out Maybe break down the cost of them living with you and share it with them so that they get a sense of what they’re actually paying for. Include everything though, a portion of every bill, etc.

15 years ago my old man charged me £200 p/m and nothing extra for food orwhatever. Though this was fair at the Michigan Football blake corum game face shirt Additionally,I will love this time all things considered. Maybe 250 – 300 nowadays?? Gap year pre uni I lived at home and paid £200 + bought most of my own food and thought that was fair. That was 14 years ago though! If they’re using regular amounts of electricity and eating your food then £1000 per month would be a good range. You can use £500 to pay for the utilities and food and save the other £500 for them. I know I’ll be downvoted for this, but you’re saving for their future (while they also pay their way now). I currently live with my mum and get a very good deal. Me and my partner buy all of the food, that’s our “rent” effectively. And because food shops are food shops, that obviously also includes the usual cleaning and washing supplies. We were originally also going to pay for half of the utilities, but it worked out simpler for the dog to have one less day a week at day care and us to look after her that day, which saves my mum about £100 a month
