Never really had much of a problem with classes, until year 9… our class was mental af. Had multiple students on report with the Mom You Were Right About A Lot Of Mother’s Day Vintage Sunset T-Shirt moreover I love this deans, whole class got put onto a daily report, our English teach broke down, music they changed the shifts so we had two teachers and they still couldn’t get the class under control together. People threw rubbers etc at the maths teacher. It was just insane. Science and social studies the class was pretty normal, those teachers didn’t take any shit. So I don’t blame teachers for going off. Personally I wouldn’t have cared if the teacher told everyone to stfu, sit the fk down and listen. Or threw a rubber back at the kid. They knew they were being wankers, teachers should be able to tell them so. Won’t actually do anything damaging.

This was the Mom You Were Right About A Lot Of Mother’s Day Vintage Sunset T-Shirt moreover I love this same when I was in high school at year 10. Insane class with kids with insane behaviour. I still think about it 10yrs on. I feel like some percentage of the issue is how media, tv shows, movies typically portray misbehaving students. The cliche “bad kid(s)” is portrayed as sitting at the back of the class slouching, making the odd snide remark, never doing the work properly and not doing their homework. In reality the “bad kid” these days has physically threatened the teacher if not having already assaulted them, is incredibly abusive/threatening towards fellow students and teachers on social media, has no boundaries or filters whatsoever. In the past such a student might have been controlled through fear eg a senior teacher like a vice principal giving them some drill sergeant like attention and the student being fully aware that said teacher would fuck them up if they tried to get physical with them. Understandably that approach has been abandoned as ultimately it didn’t achieve anything for the student, probably making it worse for them. But at least was marginally beneficial for the rest of the class who might get to learn something and the bad student essentially just got babysat for the day. But in its place there has simply been left a void with how to deal with such threatening, violent, disruptive, abusive etc students. Teachers are people and I wish this fact got inserted into the picture as well. A teacher getting threatened/assaulted/abused and responding as any human would needs to be taken into consideration and the student needs easily accessible (escalating) consequences of some kind.
