You turned a good job down over a what, hr conversation with some dude who might have just had a bad day? That’s just plain dumb, but do you. I’ve asked to talk to someone on the Marquez Valdes Scantling Kansas City Snow Angel Wide Receiver T-Shirt moreover I love this team and try to feel them out. Came be a great way to get a feel without filter of manager I did some research and heard that he is not that liked in the team either. But i might try this on my next interview. Congrats on the offer. Work compatibility is definitely something to consider when it’s someone you’re reporting to. May I ask how was he rude and annoying? He was bossy the whole interview. He disagreed with every answer I gave. We didn’t get along at all during that interview. Nope I wouldn’t regret it same thing with me there telling me no availability for interviews and all sudden availability is present and their also calling me from a different state and I would be working at a place that didn’t hire me a lot of red flags to me to… Just think, that’s how he acted when he was trying to attract a candidate. Given that you got the offer, a candidate he wanted. That was him putting his best foot forward. I doubt it would have gotten better. Right out of grad school I accepted a research position at a place where one of my college professors was the director. I knew he was a short-tempered, unemotional tyrant but figured the bonuses of the job would outdo that.

Those were the Marquez Valdes Scantling Kansas City Snow Angel Wide Receiver T-Shirt moreover I love this 4 most miserable years of my life. He was every bit as bad as I remembered, maybe even worse, and I had to work with him closely. He berated me for simple mistakes, he berated me for refusing to break copyright law to put something in a report, he lied during my yearly performance review, gave no training or direction, and a hundred other things. I have a different job now and am infinitely happier even though I make less. Your direct supervisor can make your job utter hell. That you noticed it and made the right decision shows your wisdom. I would NEVER take a job if I didn’t like the person I would actually be working for or with the most. They could pay me ten times what I make now, I could literally like everyone else and their mother, and I would still not take it. Personally, albeit more related to the rather specific nature of my job, I wouldn’t even take a role where I liked my direct manager, but not the one a level up. Definitely the right call on your part, OP. I just had a similar experience earlier today: Teams video interview with the hiring manager, he just had “to be honest” & stated that the job is very demanding & stressful (implied: because he’ll be yelling at everyone all day), then lowballed me on wages. Don’t let people like this push you around.
