This wouldn’t be that bad if there were more decent armour sets and cool weapons in the early game, but most of the cooler stuff is locked in Altus of beyond. I really hope we can access the DLC really early on, so we can at least do a quick run for the new cooler weapons and outfits like in BB where you can run in, grab the whirligig, the saif, the beast cutter, etc, and peace out and come back later when you’re ready.

Also I hear the final boss is a spammy annoying fight and not a fun one so that will be lovely to cap off a sorry ending. Honestly the boss quality in the game felt really all over the board. Some, like Rykard or Godrick or Loretta, are some of the most enjoyable fights I’ve ever had in any FromSoft game. They’re tuned perfectly to be difficult without feeling absurdly frustrating. Rykard is probably easier than the other two I listed but he’s still plenty challenging and definitely my favourite take on the “use a special weapon to actually kill the boss” idea in the series. I could list quite a few bosses in this category, Godfrey and Radagon and Morgott feel fucking great and I love every second of their fights.
