When 3am (03⁰⁰) was about to happen, the clocks just showed 2am (02⁰⁰) for the second time that night. We just workee 13 hours instead of the usual 12. Of course, I am paid by the hour, so I got 1 hour overtime. But it was a really long night. 12 hours is too much by itself, 1 extra was another experience. I couldn’t sleep for the next 2 days, because somehow it imbalanced my sleep Depends on the business need. In retail we just picked up the extra hour because we still needed to be open until dayshift came in. In warehouses we just treat it like it didn’t happen

Oh god, I work as I bartender and I was so happy that is almost finish of work for today and then, yup, time change xd I think everyone just work extra hour. Some take advantage of the extra hour and when an hour is lost they’ll just close up at the next hour. Depends. I could have worked the extra hour but my Sunday relief arrives during my last hour. Since it was slow I opted to just leave “early”. As an hourly employee I always get paid for the amount of time I work unless you get paid 1 hr less when the clocks go 1hr forward, you just suck it up, next time you’ll work 1 hr less And in the spring, lose the hour and its pay. But then have to hustle to get all your tasks done during the shortened shift. At my job, I have to work the extra hour, which I do get paid for. If I work the time change in the spring, I work 7 hours, but get paid for 8. (Factory mechanic) At my facility, we split the extra hour with the day shift. So in the fall, they come in a half hour early and let us go home at 6:30. In the spring, we stay a half hour late so they can come in at 7:30. Depends on the work pattern, where I was there were 2 12hr shifts and 7 day weeks. For the first while there was an agreement where the day shift came in half an hour earlier and nights worked half an hour longer for a while but some people didn’t like that, so they changed things that the night shift got an extra hours pay and time in lieu. On a 24/7 pattern it actually worked out ok because the same shift got the benefit of finishing an hour early when they went forward.
