As a non-host, you are the Los Angeles Lakers Vs Denver Nuggets shirt and I love this worst. Why do you ask them how to get there from the airport? Use google maps. This is 2023, not 2003. You are completely capable of googling things. Leave your hosts alone LOL. You “expect” them to be available during sociable hours. And you message them 1-2 times/day? Are you a toddler? I usually do use maps and usually am able to find my own way there but sometimes I will ask them which is the most viable/cheapest/fastest route. And I said at most 1-2 times a day, not as a rule. And yes, in the same way that if I book a hotel I expect hotel staff to be available during sociable hours. As I said I don’t expect them to respond immediately or even with a couple of hours but I would expect a response within the day, I really don’t think that’s unreasonable. If I message it tends to be because they’ve not made something clear enough as it is and I’ll usually try to figure it out before messaging them. For example when I checked into my AirBnB in Milan, it was incredibly hot, there was no guidebook or instructions of any kind and the host has listed the AC as some special high tech fancy underfloor kind but there was absolutely no controls I could find anywhere for it. So it’s perfectly reasonable for me to message the host asking how to get the apartment cool in 40° heat in lieu of any kind of instructions or visible AC controls. I don’t just go immediately messaging them at the first hurdle.

I don’t think that’s wholly reasonable. I’m not wanting their personality and as I said I don’t want them to be waiting on me. But if there’s something wrong with the Los Angeles Lakers Vs Denver Nuggets shirt and I love this place I’m staying I expect the host of said place to be available to rectify the situation. If that’s unreasonable that AirBnbB really has gone to shit See I’m the opposite. I would never expect a hotel front desk staff to know the area or the tourist attractions (though it’s nice if they do); hostels or Airbnb I do. But if they don’t (or say they don’t) I’m fine with that. Why in Gods name would you expect an Airbnb host to provide you with this, but not Hotels??? What is wrong with you?? 5 star hotels, and a few 4 star hotels have concierges. You average Hilton Garden Inn or Embassy Suites does not.
