It was like that at my aunt and uncle’s house. My mom would only make me sit there about 20 or 30 minutes more and then drop it when she realized I really wasn’t going to eat more. My uncle would not let us leave. I am not a big eater, so I would get my cousin to eat mine too so we could get up. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why she’s always been big. In my house we’re not doing that shit. Because children refuse to try something new. Once there were 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) needed for me to eat a piece of melon. I absolutely love melon so I’m not sure why I refused, but that was deffinitly a one time thing. Also as a child I didn’t want to eat the Los-Angeles-football-1936-skyline-shirt it is in the first place but ‘gross stuff’ such as boerenkool, so what I did was have 1 bite and then say “I’m full”. Yeah that’s not really gonna work. My understanding is that kids can’t always relate cortisol to lack of sleep or hunger. You are literal having to force them to sleep when they are tired. Or force them to eat to not get distracted.

Because it’s not responsible to let your kids eat only one spoon per meal cos they’d rather play some days instead of eating I work at a school and we have to ask the Los-Angeles-football-1936-skyline-shirt it is in the first place but kids to be quiet whilst they are eating (they only get 15 minutes eating time for lunch) so that they can make a dent in their food. If they eat at least half their food, parents complain that we are starving their children and they need more time to eat. So we have to prod them and encourage them quite a bit to eat more than a bite. Especially since they are very active, having a few bites of a sandwich to run around for 30 minutes at lunch time is not enough. Because when you go to a restaurant most of the time the kid picks what he or she wants then the parents tell them it’s to much food and then the kids say they will finish it then the mom or dad says they have to sit and finish it.My parents were like this This has been a thing between my husband and I. I grew up just eating what I could eat. My husband grew up with him having to finish his plate.
