A pedophile can cure cancer. One can do great things while being broken in other ways. However, I wouldn’t take advice from a pedo on how to relate to children, or what I am in relation to children. Likewise, it doesn’t seem wise to take advice on how to relate to this reality, and what I am in relation to this reality, from someone who is constantly buzzed. Maybe you should start another sub geared toward meditation from a neuroscience perspective, but idk, rules on this sub seems a little gatekeepy even though I can understand where you’re coming from w some of the LGBTQ Ally For Gay Pride Month Transgender Flag Hands T-Shirt and I love this posts on here I have zero faith of any kind whatsoever in this being a topic that can be fairly moderated without massive problems.

Almost every person in here if asked will give a slightly different answer on what meditation even is, who gets to pick and choose? If that’s what you’re looking for, I would recommend r/TheMindIlluminated. The book the LGBTQ Ally For Gay Pride Month Transgender Flag Hands T-Shirt and I love this sub is centred around is very neuroscience-focused, and provides somewhat of a barrier for people who aren’t at a place of taking meditation seriously yet. That does mean that the discussions are generally focused on that book and the meditation style it teaches, but there are discussions about science and meditation frequently within that framework. What I find the most telling about it is the lack of downvotes. The participants generally follow the advice of what to do with distracting thoughts even on the sub. They let them come, let them be, and let them [drift down to the bottom at 1 point]. In the Kalama Sutta, the Buddha advised the Kalamas, a people who were confused by the conflicting teachings of various teachers, to not believe anything simply because they have heard it, read it, or learned it from tradition. He told them to test everything by their own experience and reason, and to follow what leads to happiness and benefit for themselves and others. I don’t think we need moderators forcing their brand of meditation on people, who are they to say what is right?
