I sometimes wonder what it’s like not having a partner. I never really had a quest to find my next partner, nor a quest for self-discovery. For sure there was longer than 48 hours between each. I felt the freedom of being single again, then soon after found another mutual spark. Curiously, each time I had moved to a different state or country. Met my wife in my mid twenties.

Ive never had a relationship, I always felt like there was something wrong with me for that. But now Im realizing there is nothing wrong with being single, I wouldn’t want my happiness to be dependent on another person anyway. My parents are divorced. My mom once told me (because my dad is that way) that it’s because he can’t stand to be alone with himself. Not sure what it means. Maybe attachment issues?
