While I would understand if this bothered someone, it’s what I need. If I dated someone who couldn’t sleep with a fan, separate bedrooms would be the answer. But if someone insulted me over this, I wouldn’t expect them to be open to healthy compromises. Helpful solutions aside OP, this move doesn’t seem like a very good idea giving the way she is already treating you over something so basic. Yep! My partner can’t sleep without a fan. I hate having a fan blowing on me. We bought a huge squishmallow and put it between us while we sleep. It works well to block the air for me, and he can still use the fan. Op, my husband has always slept with a fan. Mainly he needs it for the noise. When I first met him, it bothered me a bit because it dries me out. My poor noise would be actually be painful the next morning. But I never ever would dream of telling him he can’t sleep with his fan. So he does his best to point it directly at himself. I’m small enough to basically “hide” behind him so he does block most of it. I’ve really gotten used to it now tho! We live in the country so the silence can be “loud” if that makes any sense lol

I can’t sleep without a fan. At all. If my partner couldn’t sleep with a fan, that would be a deal breaker for me. Which would seem stupid on paper, but sleep is important. The only way I could sleep with a fan on is if the It’s the most wonderful time of year Autumn Jack Skellington Thanksgiving shirt it is in the first place but wind isn’t directed at me and if it’s absolutely without a noise. I understand that this can be a deal breaker, would be for me too. Sleep is super important for me because I already don’t get much because of my sleeping disorder. The air isn’t what I necessarily need from the fan. It’s the noise. I have tinnitus. So if I don’t have a sound to concentrate on, I’ll go crazy trying to sleep. The sound of the fan is just something I’ve used my whole life. So it’s a comfortable sound.
