Ah, the I’m just one big freaking ray of sunshine Eeyore shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this classic “new person comes in and fixes what ain’t broke” syndrome. And in the process, actually breaks it. It’s usually a new owner though, I’m surprised a manager thought she had the authority to do this. Similar thing happened to me. I was hired on to help “save” a dying restaurant. Had multiple years as a head chef. They were a poke restaurant that had all their “fresh” ingredients ordered in precut bags. Nothing like a card board tasting shredded carrot on my tuna poke bowl lol. I implemented simple solutions. Buy a grater and buy carrots in bulk, cucumbers, etc. the staff were all lazy and preferred the cut and pour method over actual restaurant prep. So, the entire staff hated me for the changes I was making. In the 6 months there I grew the sales from 800 a day to 2500 a day and growing. I brought in Boba and all sorts of other shit that brought in new customers. The owner was an idiot and fell for the drama created by his staff. I got tired of defending myself on a daily basis and finally decided that I had to bring up the staffing issue. Saying your employees are lazy we need to clean house and start over if you want these changes to succeed. The gm was the laziest bitch and acted like my mortal enemy. I said it’s her or me, and I promise if you choose her you will last 2 more years tops. He chose her, I moved on, and they closed their doors for good 8 months later. Some owners are just dumb. You can lead a horse a water so they say.

I literally had a coworker get caught stealing out of my coat on camera and the I’m just one big freaking ray of sunshine Eeyore shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this owner wouldn’t fire him. Suspended him for two weeks. Everything went back to normal for about 2 months, then a bunch of change was stolen from my car, with no cameras watching faculty parking, for some reason. Told the boss it was either the same guy or now he’s employing two thieves, and I wasn’t coming to work unless someone was fired for theft. He told me I was being unprofessional and needed to put my two weeks in. Needless to say, I told him to get bent and never went back. It’s amazing how spineless alot of restaurant owners are. I could tell horror stories for hours after 15 years in food service. I am always stunned when someone tells me they are going into restaurant management. Like “what is wrong with you?” A lot of the incompetent, the irresponsible, and the narcissistic, seem to be attracted to that field.
