The wording on this definitely needs a lot to be desired though… Something like “STOP! I was in management for yrs and most managers are Idiots and not even as capable or smart as the people they supervise. The are only there due to ass kissing. It’s strange to me that there are so many laws out there that help people, but also a huge number of loopholes for these laws that allow corporations to bend the truth. Obviously you can’t force someone to work, but you can post a sign that says “quitting not allowed”? It’s weird. Corps get away with a lot of illegal things simply because the employee doesn’t know any better, through intimidation or just lack of knowledge of their own rights.

A couple places I’ve worked have had me sign a paper stating that if I talk about my wage I will be fired. But a fast food worker would only be subject to a contract if they were part of a fast food workers union. Right to work states have gutted unions, so pretty much all employment is at will, meaning either party can end the employment at any time for (mostly) any reason or no reason, without having to fulfill any prerequisite obligation.
