I thought the I work hard so my hamster can have a better life T-Shirt Also,I will get this Bill of Rights was the first to do that but I guess we have to spell it out more clearly for some politicians. Look, say what you will about religion, but access to a historically important text like that shouldn’t be limited to a specific church. But I’ll say the same about Mein Kampf, since it is historically important and we must understand the path Hitler went down to become so evil or else we can never prevent it happening again. On another note, if you put the Bible next to the Koran and the Torah and others on a library shelf and let them decide for themselves, you’ll find nothing deters someone (who isn’t already in a specific given religion) than seeing all those texts displayed equally; It shows what a crap shoot it is that anyone ends up raised in any given religion by circumstances of birth. You can openly read this book. It’s actually a liberal policy/world view that a book like that remains available. Being able to look into the historical significance of that book is actually extremely important in understanding how Hitlers rise happened and how to prevent it.

Clearly you wernt aware of this. My highschool carried a few copies. I’ve read it myself. It’s not anything “good” per se, but I see the I work hard so my hamster can have a better life T-Shirt Also,I will get this significance of it. What a dumb reply. A book ban never prevented you from owning any book, and it certainly didn’t prevent you from reading it in a public space. So here I am, sitting in the DMV where it’s about 1 white person for every 15 hispanic persons, reading a book with a large swastika on the cover. Until I went to school that night, started reading it on a break and someone said “What kind of Nazi shit are you reading?” The presence of a book for historical purposes, and the use of said book in research, doesn’t mean a person ascribes to what the book contains. Mein Kampf should be in every public library as a resource. If we can’t study how Hitler rose to power, and the thoughts he had that created such evil, without resorting to a state sanctioned sanitized version, then we will have no way of stopping such evil from arising again. Only downside is you can’t ban garbage like The Turner Diaries, but that book is both an atrociously-written waste of paper and deeply unpopular. See how long this “book ban ban” lasts when they’re confronted with seriously twisted anti-government books like that.
