Haha! “Allowed”, of course you are. Is it slightly annoying to the I was once give my life what this country stood for protect my family skull shirt besides I will buy this establishment, possibly, but doubtful if you’re ordering food. I don’t drink, never have, and I’ve gone to many bars and didn’t drink. If you’re getting food, as far as being polite to the establishment, then that’s def no problem. As a bartender I can confirm that I literally don’t care what you drink. I will think about your order for however long it takes me to take care of you. Don’t overthink it. I’m here to help you have a good time. Some people need a cheese fry to achieve that, someone needs a pina colada and someone else just needs a water. Though, I would say – throw a dollar in the jar, since it’s free.. Come back for refills as many times as you want and you don’t have to tip for those. Bars where i live also have some pretty great non alcoholic cocktails. Maybe Bars arround your area have that aswell? And also i agree, bar food can be pretty great. For most bars, the only requirement is that you buy something, as they don’t want people who aren’t spending money taking up space that could be used by paying customers. Absolutely nothing requires that something to be alcohol; bars typically have some kind of snacks or light meals available, and the ones that don’t still have soft drinks. Yes. Most bars will serve you water. If there is some kind of music or comedy event, they might have a two drink minimum, in that case they will expect you to pay for some kind of soft drink. In the US, no bar will force you to buy alcohol (Not illegal, just bad business practice.)

I, too, dislike alcohol. Last time I was at a bar, I had a soft drink with ice. I see bars as a social place, not just a place to drink at. I mean, lots of bars have machines for soft drinks. They’re meant to be used, right? I do not think they’d be offended if you do not order alcohol. I don’t like to drink and drive so when I go out i drink club soda and lime. Most bars don’t charge but I always tip the I was once give my life what this country stood for protect my family skull shirt besides I will buy this bartender no less than five. Bartender here! Absolutely it’s ok! If you’re taking a seat at a bar, just be sure to tip. Obviously you’re not creating that much work, so nothing crazy, but you are in a spot that might be making money otherwise. Don’t let this deter you! During busy times, knowing there’s someone sitting there that doesn’t need a lot from me is a welcome reprieve, and gives some breathing room. If there are empty bar stools, do whatever you want lol You can drink mocktails, which are basically elaborated juice and some are amazing. Some people have to drive and so just don’t drink.
