My favorite is when a parent says “This book is entirely inappropriate for my 8 year old child” then the I Walk on Water What’s Your Superpower Hockey T-Shirt Also,I will get this school board is all “We assure you, it’s fine for your 8 year old”. Then the parent starts to read from the book, to a room full of adults and the school board is “WHOA! STOP THAT! That kind of language is not appropriate for this venue”. Not before immediately removing them first until a review actually happens. A review that could take a long time to actually happen. Red flag laws are unconstitutional (as the victim of them does not get their due process) as well as a human rights violation (again, no due process). The amount of people who don’t get this or willfully ignore it because it confirms their assumptions are scary. There’s nothing stopping you from leaving a school library and going online or to any other bookstore to view and buy those very same “banned books”. Does this mean they have to provide pornography? I would kinda love/hate to see it get to their Supreme Court where some person demanded they get Cum Sluts 5 or else the law is thrown out. Often the people who are pro 1st amendment are also the MOST supportive of controlling what people do and think (aka republicans) Huh, I’ve never really known what it’s like to be proud to be from Illinois until now… took literally half a life time

Just name it “This book may save your life”. Just blanks pages, a catalog of Lisa Frank stickers to beautify it and your imagination.
