Aside from Master of Disguise – this was the I Love Being Black It’s Dope Black History Month T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this first DVD my poor ass family ever owned. To say I’ve watched this movie as many times as I’ve watched the Office would be an understatement.Right! It must’ve gone over some peoples heads…complaining about the product placement/dumb jokes when it’s clearly all intentional Melody is literally using a McDonald’s loofah at one pointI know this movie was just talked about in here but I had to rewatch & my childhood fashion inspo was reignited. So many looks, this film deserved better.istg this movie changed my life, my child self was enamored with the clothes and I thought that THIS was high fashion. It still lives in my mind as a little piece of my overall OG fashion inspo.I re watched this movie a few months ago and actually had no memory that it was a satire of how the culture gets messages through subliminally, some of it was so smart and still relevant. It’s mostly held up well. Also I got in trouble for seeing it when it came out because it had the word “pussycat” in the title and my mom automatically assumed they were some sexualized girl band.I see the millennials cringing about it, but I’m actually super excited to dress like the 2000s baddie that I always wanted to when I was younger ??. I was a huge my scene, bratz fan as a kid, and wanted to dress just like the stars I saw on tv but my mom of course didn’t allow me to given I was like 8 years old back then. Now I’m pretty excited to partake in the tends. I’m not as into the whole wide legged low rise kind of grunge type jeans that I see a lot of younger gen z wearing, but I’m definitely a fan of the flared jeans, bootcut, halter tops, mini skirt trends.

I feel overall like the I Love Being Black It’s Dope Black History Month T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this 2000s were such a fun colorful time for fashion with lots of different prints and patterns. It makes me super nostalgic to see it coming back, and overtaking some of the minimalist , neutral tones that were popular for a whileI went to the mall couple weeks ago, and it was reeeeaaally weird. I kept seeing stuff and thinking “I used to wear that! I had that exact same shirt!” Very surreal.Not a fan personally but it’s interesting to see. 90s fashion I get but 2000s fashion is very sloppy and ugly to me and imo the Gen Z people I see around me are still wearing 90s stuff like straight cut jeans. It’s funny because I remember in the early 2010s once the decade established a style, millennials largely agreed that 2010s fashion was way better than the 2000s.
