Gonna be a trip when 2010s fashion comes back. It’s not 2000s without low-rise jeans. Everyone is wearing mom jeans. Maybe it’s my area, but I haven’t seen anyone wear 00s fashion.shoutout to the I Love You To The Moon And Back Westie T-Shirt Besides,I will do this Bratz reference, I think that kind of nostalgia is a big part of where this revival is coming from with young people– super funny to me too because my mom wouldn’t let me have Bratz because they were ‘too slutty’ but that always made them seem extra cool to me even to this day lmaoI’m super excited about it too. In the early 2000s I was a kid so I didn’t get to wear the more “adult” style of cool clothes. I went to the thrift store and bought a bunch of genuine early 00s clothes and felt so weird about it, but I’m so excited to dress up in a new style! I’m always experimenting with fashion (especially vintage stuff) so adding a new decade is going to be fun!Honestly I think it’s kinda dope for the younger Gen. I personally have no desire to start wearing Girbaud jeans and oversized tees on the regular but I think a lot of the Gen Z kids take on 00s fashion looks cool on them.I absolutely love the “y2k” stuff cause like you I was a fan of bratz etc but was also too young to really participate at the time haha. I just always thought (and still think) the clothes were really fun and kind of glamorous. BUT I could really do without the later 00’s/early 2010s fashion with bump it hair, pedal pusher capris and multiple layers of tank tops coming back. I thought that whole tend/look was bad back then and only think its worse now that I’m older lol.i love it!! i just wish this happened in high school when i was a size 0 because it’s not working with my body shape right now lol. so i stick with the high rise baggy jeans for now (which are still super popular too so that’s good) but i still think the low rise flares and mini skirts are so cuteI think a lot of the revival of 2000s fashion I’m seeing around now highlights the best of the era and leaves out the worst; I’m into it. the colors are cute. high waisted pants are just more flattering and where it’s at for me but I definitely have gotten a lot more wide leg stuff recently myself when I was exclusively into skinny jeans or nothing wider than a straight leg for a lot of the 2010s! not gonna catch me in a low waist tho.
I Love You To The Moon And Back Westie T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
I think some y2k clothes are cute but most of it doesn’t suit me. I also worry about trends in general, because I look back at things I used to wear in high school and i’m like “wtf” so I’m trying to come up with an aesthetic that feels true to me/my personality and not just what’s popular (no dig to people who love y2k tho.) But I’m definitely into Y2k makeup. I genuinely love sparkly lip gloss, light blue eyeshadow, and skinny eyebrows, but I just think these things suit me/my vibe, I looked horrendous with the I Love You To The Moon And Back Westie T-Shirt Besides,I will do this 2010s eyebrows “on fleek” and crusty matte lipstick lol. So I’ll probably do my makeup like that for the rest of my life.I used to skateboard as a kid and this trend is perfect for me. I can buy loose fit jeans and plain white T-shirts and no one bats an eye. Also my daughter can’t ruin my day by ruining my clothes. I just run i to H&M real quick and buy 3 new plain white tees for $7 a piece As long as scene hair doesn’t come back, I’m pretty excited about it. Not to mention I was a sheltered kid and wasn’t allowed in on the trends, and now I get to be the hot topic king I was always meant to be.In pic 3 your hair and pants are just everything. The hair really does a lot for the look.
