Mind you, I think hospitals are still a safer place to give birth, in spite of all that. I labored naturally with my first and it was incredibly hard to do, took away from my birth experience but overall it was still mostly good. Things went well for us thankfully, but because of that I opted for an epidural the second time. I ended up laboring about the same amount of time but had a much more pleasant experience the second time around so I definitely don’t judge ladies who opt for pain relief. It’s just a different approach to giving birth in modern times. It is after all, thanks to that modern medicine that less women die in childbirth nowadays

Also our diet is absolut crap. The united states has a maternal mortality rate closer to that of undeveloped countries because of the incredible disparity of healthcare there.
