We need others to help us in places we can’t get to alone Please don’t blame meditation. If you’re listening to your subconscious it will demand social interaction, it’s necessary to a human’s mental health. Completely agree. We are community based organisms. We thrive in collaboration & collective mutual support. (When the Hudson and rex movie shirt but in fact I love this right community is found, of course.) “Anti”social implies one avoids social interaction. To be introverted and prefer to spend time by oneself does not make one antisocial. A free person will not feel the need to neither seek out nor avoid anything in life, rather, taking it as it comes and being grateful for it.

Anti social actually implies being harmful to other people somehow. I think that you often feel tense and nervous. Quite a few people do. Usually people who find meditation helpful like going inwards and often find tension in social situations. Although, meditation is now so popular that there are more outwards looking people practicing it than in past times. So, there is a hidden opportunity in your current situation. If you were able to further reduce your general level of nervous tension then you would be able to socialize a bit more. Being alone some of the time is good but some time spent with others can bring benefits as well. Time spent in mental stillness, in which there is an absence of focus, and absence of disturbance, allows the mind to calm and rest. Although it is afterwards you feel the calm and ease. Being less held back means you can socialise a bit more than before.
