The idea then is to reflect upon your interests or consider new interests in line with your personality (ie things you will like) then look for groups who share that interest. This gives you something to talk about. It might be stamp collecting, a sport (tennis), arts – or something else, these are just examples. These ideas from the I don’t stop when Pizza Papa John’s I’m tired I stop when I’m done Stitch shirt What’s more,I will buy this late eminent psychiatrist, Dr Ainslie Meares meditation method. Refer his books for further information, for learning his meditation method, Ainslie Meares on Meditation. [The other ideas on socialising a bit are in his other books] You know, I will say that I find it easier to socialize after meditation. It reduces some sort of barrier. Yea that’s me. I’ve been an introvert to start with but after a few years of meditation social interaction seems like a waste of time most of the I don’t stop when Pizza Papa John’s I’m tired I stop when I’m done Stitch shirt What’s more,I will buy this time. I don’t crave it, I don’t want it, I often avoid it altogether. Everything important I gotta do in a day is a solitary activity. From meditation, to working out, to composing music or making photos, etc. It’s al solitary stuff that requires all my concentration. People would just spoil that. More like my understanding of social dynamics is fundamentally changed. I was much more antisocial before meditation. In the sense of avoiding it. Now, I don’t avoid it. Just inept. But I don’t really meditate, so I don’t feel qualified to answer. Just, before meditation (and the trauma that led to it) I took the social cues and judgments much more seriously. Like I was on the field, trying to avoid boring and predictable situations. Now it just feels more like I’m in the bleachers, and can appreciate watching the same “boring and predictable” (not what I think, mocking myself) situations Unfolding in a new light. Someone replied to me recently on reddit saying something like “extroverts don’t have better social skills and aren’t smarter, they are just louder and more self assured”. Has nothing to do with being right or wrong. Just is.
