I haven’t done years of meditation. I can only say I honestly meditated like 4 times my whole life that really stuck. The hardest thing for me is “what is identity”. I can see so many different “me’s” in my life… and beyond. Actually just now I visualized myself as dozens of characters I forgot about and little then coming back as old versions of myself, seeing old lost items and furniture etc I haven’t seen irl in decades (“oh I remember this how could I have forgotten” effect). So I think as with most everything it’s just a matter of persepctive and remembering. Even if it is remembering something we never knew in “this life”. All potentials are eternally possible, I suppose. I do see this occasionally in zen. Idk can’t describe it. That we don’t exist. But here “we” are. Hard to describe. Not nihilism, but the I don’t stop when Denny’s I’m tired I stop when I’m done Stitch shirt moreover I love this opposite in fact. True gratitude and gratefulness. I hesitate to even mention it because I have only the barest tenuous awareness of it. But all to say, yeah, we aren’t bad just rusty more like.

I don’t stop when Denny’s I’m tired I stop when I’m done Stitch shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I think a lot of us are afraid to face how absolutely dysfunctional most of our daily social interactions truly are. Like I can’t even go around certain people without them like getting a megaphone and screaming at me about pointless drivel they just learned from the I don’t stop when Denny’s I’m tired I stop when I’m done Stitch shirt moreover I love this tv about Republicans and Democrats. I’m just like, seriously? I didn’t even believe that shit in the 90s. Unironically beleiving that stuff today is either outright trolling or 1%er as they say. Guess that’s why they call it a soap opera, it is brainwashing. So yeah. Can’t blame people I guess for taking social cues from the likes of that. And not having the psychological framework to try and decide if this mofo is straight up trolling you or seriously believes this mutant frankenstein alligator tornado voting for more street signs in the sewers while kicking a touchdown crap they peddle. I used to say to each their own but damn. Whatever social game they playing I don’t even want to know the rules. Calvinball, I guess.
