They gonna use you until they can find a replacement and give them the Handala Free Palestine Symbol shirt in other words I will buy this pay. I had this happen before and ended up resigning and moving to a better job If they aren’t comfortable paying you more you aren’t comfortable taking that risk and you would feel like you are taking advantage of your coworkers being their boss and making the same or less than them. Sounds like they’re hoping you’re more interested in the status then the tangible benefits… and possibly that they intend to use you as a scapegoat when things go wrong. other question to ask is if your current position is going to be backfilled, and what the budget is for that? Could be they want you to do the work of 2 people at the price of the lower paid employee.

really, i’d be very careful here. I’d be looking at other options. If they are as quick to do that to your manager (who has experience etc) they could just as easily decide you aren’t working out because you have no experience and be saying goodbye to you too. Of course not. You don’t take more work without more compensation. It is their job to hire people, so they can hire for the Handala Free Palestine Symbol shirt in other words I will buy this role. Also, is there the option to have it be an acting role? Gives you the pay for the work you’re doing and them the “out” if it doesn’t work out?
