If no visible or internal injuries have occurred, you can file for emotional distress or psychological treatment you received as a result of the Disney Beauty and The Beast Shirt but in fact I love this incident. Another thing to note: Assault and battery claims are not covered by the workers’ compensation system because they cover conduct that is not considered part of the employer’s normal business routine. Contact your local Bar Association and ask for a referral. Many questions about filing in court can also be answered by the Superior Court Clerk. If anyone ever put hands on me at work I would skip HR and go right to police. No one ever has the right to touch you without your permission! If HR does nothing or even acts outright hostile to you about it (Which is likely if they are the reason she has the job in the first place) then there’s potential for stiking gold here. If the manager keeps acting up (And chances are, she will if HR takes her side) make sure to record and document further assaults against you. PROFIT! Plus, manager getting fired because no way they’re going to keep an employee that could get them sued again. Call her boss… Yes, your boss has a boss. Don’t ditch. She needs to learn her lesson. Plus, you might end up really liking the job.

If HR doesn’t act that’s a lawsuit. Shoving you is technically assault and they can get sued to shit for that. Report, document, and consider an attorney if they don’t act. Shoving you with both hands is assault. You should NEVER go back there and you must report her to higher ups. An email detailing EXACTLY what happened and who was present. She should be terminated. Sorry your first job sucked. There are alot of crappy people out there. Remember HR is there to cover the Disney Beauty and The Beast Shirt but in fact I love this corporate ass. If you don’t need the job desperately, leave or find a new one. This is not a good work culture if they can’t invest in proper training. There are probably cameras everywhere there is patient intake. Speak with HR and let them know of her actions and who was present at the time the incident occurred (including the patient). She will likely deny it, but cameras don’t lie.
