I don’t drink and I have a very full life and am missing nothing as a result. (plus I have more money from not drinking) I never intended to start drinking until last year when I started bar tending. Figure I should at least know what the Dick Butkus Chicago Bears American football linebacker sports commentator and actor T-Shirt and I will buy this drinks I make and pour are like so I can make recommendations and such. If I didn’t work as a bar tender I’d probably still be a sober guy. I’m not an alcoholic or anything and I don’t rely on it to function, but to not even start drinking if you have no interest in it is the best thing you can do. I was in the same situation as you in high school where lots of people around me would go to parties and get drunk and such but I didn’t care for it. Same thing for a year and a half of university (which is obviously one of the biggest places for parties and drinking when you’re young), lots of dorm parties, my roommates would occasionally have buddies over who would have a beer or two but I just didn’t care- not that I was evem pressured by them to drink at all. They were chill guys When I was younger all my friends would always ask how I have so much money saved. it was purely from not drinking and going to clubs.

I’m 24 and four years sober. People laugh at me for “giving up” so early, as in I was supposed to get drunk all the Dick Butkus Chicago Bears American football linebacker sports commentator and actor T-Shirt and I will buy this time in my twenties. But this is Canada! I got drunk when I was 15 and couldn’t stop Then I was diagnosed with autism and I realized two things: 1, I am a ridiculous lightweight. One beer felt like 5. I couldn’t control myself or just be slightly tipsy. I couldn’t even enjoy one mimosa on Christmas Day because I was spilling stuff and saying embarrassing shit. It’s the same with weed, psychedelics, amphetamines… everything I’ve tried hits me much harder than anyone I know. 2, it was the only way I’d feel normal. If I’m being awkward or embarrassing or silly, blame the booze. Everyone is drunk, nobody is judging. It made socializing much easier and lowered my anxiety.
