This wasn’t years ago either, it was like 6 months ago. Nothing wrong with paying $30-$50 for what you’re getting at this point. But people continuously throwing money at it, spending hundreds… I don’t get it I spent 300€ on star citizen a few years back and after seeing the 45 minute starfield teaser I feel like I can‘t play the game anymore. It‘s 100% a scam. No matter how much money and employees they add it‘ll be outdated by the time they finish anything or fix any of the bugs. And literally nothing is fun in star citizen. Not a single activity.

I paid overall 400€ 2013, been waiting. I log in once a year to see how its developped and I quit everytime I encounter game breaking bug. They are still in alpha. I understand they are building something entirely new but come on at this pace I doupt its not done 2033. I don’t buy this excuse. Maybe it’s new and groundbreaking concept 10 years ago, but in modern era of gaming, modern engines and complexity of games we see currently this shit is not “new” at all. If Starfield is anything like the game it claims to be, and certainly if they somehow manage to surprise add-on multiplayer down the line, Cloud Imperium Games is going to be in a really difficult place very quickly. They bought people on specific promises and they’ve had more or less 10 years window to deliver that, without any other developer touching similar concept (well few did, but not on that scale). And they failed completely, because they can’t deliver core of the game, which is a stable foundation to expand. They try to expand without it and it doesn’t work. It never did, never will, and they know it. Unless Starfield is hot piece of garbage (which is still possible) Star Citizen will collapse as soon as Bethesda release.
