Chris Roberts has lost sight of what made Wing Commander games so successful, it wasn’t the Cougars and Beavers Pac 2 shirt in contrast I will get this tech – it was the story. Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom was arguable one of the best space combat games ever created and it certainly wasn’t because of tech. Star Citizen still being in development is like a gaming law at this point. A constant that will never change and a money sink I was cult-faithful until about 2017. By that point I’d seen too many broken promises which the faithful claimed never were promised because they didn’t use the word ‘promise’. I’d seen too much dubious crap to continue to follow the game. I’d originally backed for way too much money under the influence of Wing Commander nostalgia. By the time I realised they were never going to be able to deliver on their promises, at least any time before I retire, I couldn’t get a refund.

For the Cougars and Beavers Pac 2 shirt in contrast I will get this best info on how they ended up where they are, watch the YouTube series by a former actual investor: Sunk Cost Galaxy. It’s funny that the first video is from 5 years ago. More time has passed since this dude finally realized he got scammed than they initially said it would take to make the game… and people are still waiting. And I will never understand how so many people bought into it and continue to throw money at them. It’s like those really obvious email scams in video game form but people are pushing their loved ones out of the way for a chance to click Leta be honest, with that amount of money and time they should have released a fully functional and QR tested game.. easily a scam even if it’s a game
