Yikes! That sounds rough. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Let me know if you want some help with your resume or interview prep. ☺️ WOW and leadership coaching always works – congratulations!/s Never ever seen a bad manager improve with such coaching. A total waste of time and money but senior execs can justify keeping the Caridinals thank you for the memories shirt and I love this bad manager with such training despite numerous complaints. I don’t think she’ll change. I think they’re giving her the benefit of the doubt and then they can at least say they tried to change her ways. Ask him his philosophy on work life balance and how many employees he manages then ask him if he’s retained staff or is there “ a lot of transitions lately” be polite. I’ve never had anyone be honest about their turn over rates so I almost always check glassdoor to see and then check linkedin for average time at company. I once worked for a company where the managers all talked like they read all right books on management but acted like the never internalised the message. They knew what they were supposed to do they just couldn’t actually follow through and do it. They talked about caring only about results and not arbitrary things like work hours or rigorous timetabling but then called all hands meeting to make passive aggressive statements about people not coming in on time or leaving late or taking lunch at different times. A laundry list of petty shit, including stalking around the office to make sure nobody was slacking off.

Caridinals thank you for the memories shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

All this to say that just because they can parrot the Caridinals thank you for the memories shirt and I love this right talking points doesn’t mean they actually know how to follow them. This! I can’t recommend asking about documented standards enough. Otherwise they say all the right things which can often be COMPLETE lies. Been there too many times where a manager seems like a human being at first then as soon as I start working under them prove to be a total asshole and make my life miserable. Documentation holds everyone accountable. There can’t be favorites and there can’t be moving goalposts. Expectations are the same for everyone. You know when someone is being unreasonable because it’s all written out. Of course things change here and there, but it shouldn’t be the norm that things are never squared away and it’s always being played by ear. “Why is this position open?”. I asked this during an interview and they told me about all the turnover they had. That’s as a big nope from me.
