But for my older girl, she gradually whittled down the boyband tour music T-Shirt it is in the first place but list of acceptable foods to basically rice, noodles, and frozen corn. She started throwing a fit every time she sat down at the table and the three approved foods were not there. We went through a long and painful adjustment process where she had to learn that she could not reject every food except her very favorites. In general, kids don’t really understand why they can’t eat their favorite foods all the time, unless you happen to get a chill kid that’s happy to eat whatever you put on their plate (our second daughter… so far). I used to be forced to eat foods I hated. For instance, green beans. I would literally be gagging uncontrollably, and my mum would be there going off at me to just eat it. I will never force my kid to eat foods she doesn’t like or if she is full. She is 6 and knows if she doesn’t eat the healthy parts of her dinner she doesn’t get a small dessert. She also knows if she try’s something new and doesn’t like it then that’s ok. Atleast she tried. She had a fairly well balanced diet even if she eats the same fruit and veg all the time

My dad used to make me finish my plate before I could leave the boyband tour music T-Shirt it is in the first place but table. He made me plates that were almost as big as his. Would yell at me to finish if I couldn’t. It was how he was raised and then how he raised me. I will not make my kids eat like this. I have a horrible relationship with food now. Ugh this gave me childhood flashbacks. My parents and in particular my stepdad were fucking monsters about food. It was definitely traumatizing. This was never done to us growing up. We could eat or not and if we were hungry later, we were not to complain about it and we’d have to fend for ourselves. I was the same with my kids. Feeding kids adult-sized portions? Considering that they can’t even finish child-sized portions, I couldn’t imagine trying to coerce my own kids into finishing an adult sized meal.
