Nope. I raised my brother and have no interest in having children. Plus there are a lot of health issues neither of us want to pass on. We decided not to have kids 43 and 38, no regrets, loving being free and doing the things we like… Have also made good friends with some other kid free couples which is fantastic. I also work in aged care so when people say “who will look after you when you’re old?” Let me assure you, it won’t be your kids! The vast majority of people in aged care don’t see anyone on any regular basis apart from their other half if they are still alive. Make a plan for when you are old, don’t rely on your kids it’s not their responsibility anyway.

Not really. We tried but it didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. And we actually now feel we’re better off for it. I love kids. Loved the Blue blood 13 years anniversary 2010 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt so you should to go to store and get this idea of having kids. But after watching most of my friends have kids, that shit is no joke. Not to mention the financial drain, the constant exhaustion, etc. Hard work. Respect, but at this point I’d rather not. Like I get the rewards of having good kids can be wonderful (less so with troubled kids). But not having kids also has rewards… many many many rewards. Like do whatever you want kinda rewards. Beholden to no one but your budget Like more money, more traveling, more time… and to have other things to create (art, music, projects, etc…), other ways to share, to give, to grow. I’m 42 with no kids and love my life. I’ve never doubted my choice but my friend’s kids and my niece, whilst I love them dearly, have solidified it!
