This in effect happened to me, and they were perfectly happy for me to go on leading the Billy Failing Halloween 2023 Grand Rapids Tour Shirt moreover I will buy this team long term without the raise or title. I got fed up and left. If this is something you’re interested in, you should ask them for a clear timeline for evaluation and salary/title adjustment, as well as what KPIs and benchmarks you need to meet to be successful. Get this in writing (or at least send to them after your convo). I’d also want to know in what respects your previous boss didn’t meet their expectations so you can see if it sounds reasonable that they were fired, and can avoid the same pitfalls. Document a growth plan to protect yourself and the company. It should list your responsibilities, growth opportunities, and metrics for success. It should include progress check-ins at regular intervals to make sure you are on-target with your job growth and get feedback. Finally, it should spell out predictable salary increases so that as you begin to become comfortable and successful in your job, you are also beginning to be paid for it.

Proposed 60 day window for a already negotiated salary. Get it writing that if for any reason it doesn’t go ahead you retain your original position. Fuck forced promotions. Especially those that involve no pay bump. I don’t apply for promotions because I DO NOT WANT TO GET PROMOTED. I don’t want the Billy Failing Halloween 2023 Grand Rapids Tour Shirt moreover I will buy this extra responsibility. It’s not worth any extra to me. I would refuse unless I got a pay raise because they are adding responsibilities to your job description, fuck that. Get it in writing. This is how you burn out HR here, ask for a temporary increase. They should pay you extra for the duration of your new “ assignment”. There might be a policy/practice in place that it’s not common knowledge. I advise not to go in overly strong, but be reasonable. We watch for overall leadership behavior including how you handle yourself and your expectations. Good luck with it!
