I once got seated next to a middle-aged German lady, she was extremely nervous and read alt-right propaganda the Beaver Dam high school alumni football shirt in other words I will buy this whole flight, seemed afraid of not only me (a white friendly looking guy) but also of the friendly crew on the plane (nice German ladies). The tension was palpable for every second of the flight. Plague my eyesight, kick my chair, assault my ears – but leave my nose/sinuses the fuck alone. I don’t care if you think you smell wonderful, if you are unaware you smell horrible, or you simply don’t CARE how you smell – if I can smell you, all bets are off and, if the flight isn’t jammed full, I will even tell the flight attendant why I would like to be re-seated right in front of your smelly self.

The bloke next to me was getting progressively more drunk until he somehow kicked his tray table and upended a full plastic cup of lager over himself, me and my iPad. I did that English thing of saying “it’s fine” while my eye was twitching. Luckily my iPad wasn’t destroyed but I stank like a brewery for the Beaver Dam high school alumni football shirt in other words I will buy this rest of the flight. The woman that was giving herself a manicure. The vapors stank and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. No one wanted to ask her to stop. It was sorta tolerable while she was sitting, but I swear I sat next to an incontinent old woman on a flight from Chicago to Denver. Lady turned out to be one of those people who stand up as soon as the plane reaches the gate, and she turns towards the aisle, pointing her piss-soaked butt right at my face for the entirety of the time it took to deplane. That’s the worst person I’ve ever sat next to anyway.
