Years ago: we were about an hour into a flight. The guy next to me opened a greasy bag full of Buffalo wings. He proceeded to spend the Beneteau Sailboat Logo shirt it is in the first place but next 45 minutes eating an entire bag of room temperature wings with his fingers, complete with multiple dips in blue cheese sauce for each wing, licking his fingers, small burps. The smell was unbelievably strong in the enclosed area: Franks Hot Sauce and blue cheese. I was in the middle seat, literally right next to him. People: wings are not a good option for airplane food. Vinegary salads, fish, shawarma, gyros… also bad ideas. A smelly person. More specifically, a big smelly person. Not even necessarily fat, though that’s bad too. But the kind that is like 6’6, and can barely squeeze into the seat, so they have to super man spread their legs apart just for some relief. Like, I get it. I feel bad for the dude cuz those seats are NOT designed for 6’6 people. But at the same time, him having to put his leg half way over into my seat is super inconvenient for me too.

A sick one. I sat next to this dude and I don’t know what he had, but I caught it and I’ve never felt worse in my life. Congestion, migraines, disgustingly wet coughs, body hurt so bad and an ear infection. I was stuck on a 5 hour flight next to a women who had THE WORST BREATH I had ever smelled. I voluntarily put on my face mask and still couldn’t handle it. I fly with my three kids (6y, 4y, and 7m) on Saturday by myself without any help. I’m gonna go with being stuck next to them. Fidgety kid. Hey mom/dad, you come sit next to me and have Junior here take your seat. I’ve refrained from procreating for a reason. Drunks and people who are high. Fly 13 hours from Auckland to San Francisco and you’ll know exactly what I mean. People with crying babies. This can’t be helped. I feel for the Beneteau Sailboat Logo shirt it is in the first place but parents, so I totally cut them slack on this one. But I can’t help but feel a sense of dread as I watch a woman with her infant walking down the aisle towards me. Chatterboxes. I don’t mind having a conversation at all on a plane. In fact, I’ve had some terrific ones. But there are times when you just want to read your book and chill. Or sleep. Exchange pleasantries and, if there’s nothing there, leave them alone. One time I was so tired I fell asleep on the shoulder of the woman next to me and drooled. She just let me sleep on her shoulder I woke up and felt so bad. To be fair I thought her shoulder was the headrest. Yea like coach is gonna have those nice headrests that have adjustable bolsters
