It’s in Americans’ reactions to Puerto Ricans that they really give away how the Arizona Cardinals Santa Grinch Fuck The Rest Christmas shirt also I will do this furor over “immigration policy” is nothing but anti-Latin racism wrapped in a translucently thin veneer of intellectual respectability. And aren’t represented in congress. Wasn’t ‘no taxation without representation’ a key foundation principle of America? Yup. Americas do discriminate against Puerto Ricans. But… Some Puerto Ricans in America also discriminate against fellow prs arriving in the US. And against Dominicans and any other non citizen Hispanic. So cut the bs. To be fair -Puerto Ricans (born and raised in the island) treat NYC tri-state area as ‘second class’ citizens… their reasoning is that they gave a bad name to the island after becoming welfare dependent high crime communities.

Every time I go to PR they hate being called American.. they decline becoming a state because then they will have to pay taxes whereas it’s already expensive to live there. They voted for statehood in 2020. You’d think he would have cleared that up when he had a conversation with the Arizona Cardinals Santa Grinch Fuck The Rest Christmas shirt also I will do this “president of Puerto Rico” in ~2017 I admit I don’t know much about Puerto Rico, or their culture, but Backlash this year has told me that they’ve got that vibe. By the time they changed their minds in 2020& voted for it, public opinion had turned against them. Sadly anti-Spanish-speaking prejudice has only grown in the mainland US, not receded. It will likely be at least a generation until there’s a realistic chance of statehood now. In fact sometimes Fox News or other right-wing sources will say Puerto Ricans should have their citizenship revoked. It’s horrifying, really. Stupid idea, but has the Puerto Rican government ever considered to just print something like “Puerto Rico is part of the United States” or “Puerto Ricans are US citizens” on the damn drivers license? I mean, yes, we can argue back and forth for ages how that shouldn’t be necessary if the world was a perfect place, and we all know that no matter how much we try to do politically about the issue some dumbfuck high school dropout clerk in Kentucky is still gonna get it wrong, but until then I feel like something simple like this might actually help Puerto Ricans affected by this to navigate through the shitty situation and be able to move on with their day more easily.
