That is not what good therapists are trained to do, and a lot of these stories are saddening to me because it sounds to me like the therapist is not looking at the clients frame of reference and is projecting their own biases and assumptions on. Only in the abusive, vile situations where harm may occur would they try and set up safeguarding procedures to help people out of it. But again, they would have to be 100% sure they were doing the right thing for their client.
