Was it your first international vacation? Maybe this trip has inspired you to shake your life up and change locations. I’ve lived in several countries and it is always an adventure. IT COULD VERY WELL BE THAT HE WANTS TO GET TO KNOW HIS FIANCE’S FRIEND WHO IS IMPORTANT TO HER. IF that’s not the case, one alternate possibility is that it’s a subtle, round about ploy for control over his fiance, playing the long game. Just in case, I’d stay a little wary, especially about sharing things about his fiance with him, without express approval/confirmation from your friend first. Just until you know for sure I think that this guy may not have very conventional social skills or boundaries. I suspect that he may fall somewhere on the very high functioning autism scale. I could easily be wrong. But at the same time, I’ve seen people on this spectrum struggle to understand the nature of social relationships and boundaries. Some tend to insinuate themselves deeper into people’s lives than is appropriate. Though it is basically with no ill intent.
